Christian D. Larson (1874–1954) was a prolific New Thought leader, teacher, and author. Born in Iowa, he attended Iowa State College and Meadville Theological School.
He became interested in Mental Science teachings in his early twenties and later founded the New Thought Temple in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1901. He also published the influential New Thought periodical Eternal Progress.
Larson moved to Los Angeles around 1911 and was an honorary president of the International New Thought Alliance. His writings significantly influenced Ernest Holmes, the founder of Religious Science. Larson is also credited with authoring the Optimist Creed.
Larson's works emphasized the power of thought, self-mastery, and the potential for personal growth and success through the application of New Thought principles. He provided practical guidance on how to cultivate a positive mindset and harness one's inner resources to achieve one's goals and live a fulfilling life.
